Features
Everything DayZed adds on top of vanilla DayZ — what each feature does and which maps it applies to.
Base Building 7
Base building on DayZed
Which vanilla structures are enabled, what raiding methods work, and how DayZed changes vanilla building.
Codelocks
Combination locks for gates, tents, lockers and bunker hatches.
Forever fireplace and barrels
Fireplaces and barrels that never burn out.
Garbage bin
A placeable bin that disposes of unwanted items around your base.
No-build zones
Areas (and a radius around every Nexus station) where nothing can be built.
Tents — locks and raiding
Tents take a codelock and can be cut open by raiders.
Territory flags and authorisation
Authorise yourself on a flag to build and log out inside its territory; unauthorised logouts get relocated.
Bunkers 5
Bunker power, lights and farming
A power generator charges batteries and runs the bunker lights; planter boxes only grow while the lights are on.
Bunker raid alarm
A placed alarm station pings subscribed players when their hatch is attacked.
Bunker walls, doors and tiers
Partition your bunker with walls and doors, then upgrade them from wood to metal, concrete and Zaruunium.
Raiding and repairing bunkers
Hatches and modules only fall to explosives; breached bunkers open, decay and eventually crumble unless repaired.
Underground bunkers
Dig a hidden entrance, build and codelock a hatch, and expand a private underground base room by room.
Crafting 8
Combine, split and bigger stacks
Merge and split partial stacks; ammo, meds and repair kits stack higher than vanilla.
Custom flags and armbands
Craft DayZed and clan flags, matching armbands and a hanging flag for your base.
Jukebox
A craftable jukebox that streams music in your base, with a menu to pick tracks.
Lockers, gun cabinet, fridge and shelves
Codelockable equipment and weapon lockers, a gun cabinet, a fridge that slows decay, and shelves that hold crates.
Scrap a kit for nails
Any furniture or bunker kit can be broken down into part of its nails.
Spray paints and reskins
Extra spray-can colours and crafting recipes that recolour clothing and gear; VIPs use less paint.
Workbench
Place a workbench, attach tools and upgrade modules, and craft furniture and bunker kits from a paper recipe list.
Zaruun suit repair and medicine
Repair the LEHS suit and treat Zaruun exposure with dedicated kits.
Events 5
Dance, emote and crab grenades
Throwables that make everyone nearby dance or emote.
Helicopter crash events
A helicopter flies in and crashes at an announced location — race to the wreck.
Meteor crash and mining
A meteor impacts one map; mine it with a hardened pickaxe for meteor fragments.
Prop hunt
Staff-run event where players hide as world props.
PVP arena and melee events
Staff-run arena and melee tournaments.
Maps 1
Player 14
Autorun
Toggle autorun from the options menu.
Castaway spawn
An alternative shipwrecked start.
Clothing damage rework
Clothing takes a fraction of the damage a hit would do to it in vanilla, so a fight wears gear down through Worn, Damaged and Badly damaged instead of ruining it outright.
Fresh spawn protection
A short protection window for fresh spawns.
Gear set crates
Pre-packed loadout crates.
Healing bag
A medical bag with its own heal action.
In-game report menu
Report a player from inside the game.
Keycards and keycard rooms
Tiered keycards open matching security doors and expire after a set time.
No-logout zones
Zones where you cannot log out; disconnecting there moves you out.
Respawn cooldown
A wait before you can respawn after dying.
Skull trophies
Dead players drop a named skull you can mount on a planted spear.
Space helmet
A sealed helmet with built-in night vision and full contamination protection.
Stamina survival bonus
The longer your character survives and stays active, the more stamina it earns, shown on the HUD.
Stealth suit
A full stealth outfit set.
Quests 4
Artifacts and the pyramid
Collect the five map artifacts and bring them to the pyramid.
Nexus hacking device
Use a hacking device on a Nexus station to unlock what it guards.
Stuart Island
A custom island with portals and its own quest.
Zaruun
The alien world behind the portal — exposure, the priest, alien fruit and the gear you need to survive it.
Travel 2
Vehicles 3
Flip vehicle
Right an overturned vehicle by hand or with a tool.
Vehicle limits and automatic cleanup
Three vehicles per flag, unmoved vehicles despawn, over-cap vehicles decay within the hour.
Vehicle packing
Pack a vehicle into a carryable package and place it again elsewhere.
